This past year, I have been grateful to have a number of one-on-one conversations with physicians across the internal medicine community to learn more about their personal experiences with, and thoughts and ideas on, the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. In all of these conversations, I hear how proud physicians are of the work they do to stay current in knowledge and practice, and we believe that their participation in MOC should reflect that pride.
Recently, I took advantage of the opportunity to be a guest on Explore the Space ─ a podcast hosted by hospitalist Dr. Mark Shapiro ─ that focuses on important issues and discussions in health care.
We spoke about a number of pertinent topics, including the profession’s role in the development and evolution of the MOC program and ABIM’s plans to make MOC exams more relevant.
You can listen to our recent conversation on the Explore the Space blog.
