In the current issue of the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, authors from ABIM and the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) describe the important role physicians and other stakeholders have in co-creating ABIM’s assessments and programs.
“We wrote this article to demonstrate to the geriatric physician community how ABIM has changed over the past few years, and the critical role geriatricians play in shaping the future of our profession,” said Bruce Leff, MD, chair of the ABIM Geriatric Medicine Board.
“Medicine changes rapidly, and those practicing on the front lines understand the skills and competencies that are needed to deliver outstanding care. We invite geriatricians to engage with us in our co-creation efforts to ensure that ABIM programs continue to make good on our commitment to our peers and the older adults and caregivers we serve,” said Sharon Levine, MD, member of the ABIM Geriatric Medicine Board and AGS Board of Directors.
