Survey on New MOC Assessment Pathway 2016

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) announced key findings from our 2016 survey of all ABIM Board Certified physicians.  The survey sought to engage physicians in building a new MOC assessment pathway that adheres to the high standards of certification, while meeting additional needs of the physician community and the patients they serve. We received an unprecedented response of nearly 24,000 to this survey.

By using a representative sample, ABIM was able to balance response bias and make inferences about the full population of ABIM Board Certified physicians. Responses from all the survey participants and the representative sample are important to consider and will be used to frame future discussions to refine details of the assessment ideas.

Survey on MOC Assessment Ideas 2015

More than 9,200 physicians responded to the survey and provided general direction about what physicians might want a future MOC assessment to involve. Read our news release.
