Charity Tumangday, MD, FCCP | Critical Care Medicine Item-Writing Task Force

Dr. Tumangday received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines. She is currently a mid-career internal medicine-critical care intensivist practicing in the surgical and cardiovascular ICUs at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Ohio. She is well-respected for her clinical experience and valued as a clinical educator by fellows, residents and medical students.

Dr. Tumangday has been on the Critical Care Medicine Item-Writing Task Force for one year. When asked what her favorite part of being an Item-Writer is, she stated, “Looking up references and learning new things in the process.” Her advice to new Item-Writers is to practice writing as much as possible, stating, “Practice makes perfect!”
