ABIM Supports Reproductive Health and Access to Care

ABIM Supports Reproductive Health and Access to Care

ABIM stands with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American College of Physicians (ACP), and others in the medical community in their statements supporting reproductive health and access to care. We are committed to ensuring safe and effective healthcare in the United States and to reducing inequities in access to health care. This decision will disproportionately affect vulnerable populations that have been minoritized due to gender, socioeconomic status, and racial disparities.

The reversal of a law that stood for nearly 50 years allowing people to make informed medical decisions will cause health care to deteriorate in the US for many years to come. ABIM remains committed to ensuring safe and effective healthcare for all Americans.
